Interview with Dr. Margaret Wheatley (Interview # 2, 2012)

In October of 2012, I once again interviewed Dr. Meg Wheatley, a world renowned thinker and scholar.  Listen to Dr. Wheatley's first interview here.

In this second interview, Dr. Wheatley shares the major ideas included in her new book, So Far From Home: Lost and Found in Our Brave New World. In this fascinating book, Dr. Wheatley shares a message of courage and acceptance, as we recognize the darkness of our time and yet are still willing to do what is right.

The presentation is saved in a "flash" format.I also included, below, the actual power point slides - but those do not include the entire interview content, just key points.

Thank-you. I was touched strongly by Margaret's first work many years ago now. I have been following it for years. I love the frankness and courage to say how it is. No pretences, no creating an illusion that we can do this and we will transform the world, - simply work with who you are being - that is what we have some control over. In my experience that is hard enough! To uncover our unconscious beliefs that are behind our behaviour resulting in us doing the very things that we do not want to create!!
I am always confused about giving myself a title - facilitator, coach, mentor - they never quite work. I call my adult son a gentle warrior. - I am going to call myself a "Warrior of the Human Spirit" -After listening to Margaret I will claim that title too.
Yes, I agree, we are lost collectively and individually. It has taken me years to transcend the pull to submitting to being dominated by patriarchial behaviours that de-value me and women and the human spirit
    Thank-you again.
